Lauren’s first architectural love was Gurr House, Hobart 1960s, architect unknown. This house was the first she experienced that was designed specifically for the family that lived there. It wrapped around the central courtyard pictured, included a lounge room for music recitals and classes, and a pistol range in the basement. The architect lived with the Gurrs for a week prior to starting design so he could understand how they lived!
