A distilled Vatican chapel by Andrew Berman that didn’t quite do it for us. Simple form-making was let down by an artificial material palette. Plastic cladding and painted cement sheet were scuffed and weary but not gracefully. The other chapels that used stone, timber and steel felt more authentic, and more grounded in their place.
