Inspiration | Low cost architecture

Quinta Monroy by Elemental achieves the impossible, locating 100 families in the centre of Iquique on a site they had illegally occupied for the previous 30 years. The project reshapes the challenge of low cost housing, and simultaneously empowers families to expand their houses, a mode of informal development already in practice for generations. Chile, 2003.
