Adnan Haque
Architectural assistant
Before falling in love with architecture, Adnan was a rockstar. He used to play lead guitar in three bands and was an active musician. He grew up in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where he was mesmerised by Louis Kahn’s timeless architecture at the Parliament House, and it’s impact on the city and its people.
Having worked on multistorey residential, commercial and large-scale hospitality projects, one of Adnan’s big accomplishments was to be part of the project Sairu Hill Resort in Bandarban, where he developed the master plan from concept through to construction in a team environment.
Adnan also admires Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s works and the minimalist ethos of less is more. He is passionate about digital architecture, biophilic design and social architecture. He approaches architecture from the perspective of a serialist, thinking about each project like a song composition with a secret formula that guides him across all the stages of the design process.
In his spare time, Adnan loves making music for his YouTube and SoundCloud channels and exploring the bike trails of Melbourne.
