Favourite dead architects: Torres de Satélite by Luis Barragan in collaboration with painter Jesús Reyes Ferrira and sculptor Mathias Goeritz was the first major urban sculpture in Mexico. It appears “value management” was prevalent even in the 1950s, as the towers were originally planned to stretch 200m into the sky but were ultimately reduced to 52m. Ciudad Satélite, 1957.
